When working with me for couples therapy or premarital counseling you can expect that both you and your partner will be treated as equals.  I maintain a neutral non- judgmental stance that allows me to understand and empathize with both of your perspectives as well as remain objective and unbiased. You can expect to learn and practice tools and skills in session that you can begin to utilize at home.

I use my empathic calming presence to create a space in which my couples feel comfortable expressing their honest feelings and needs. My couples have told me that I have a way of pulling things out of them they did not know how to put into words.

I challenge both partners to take responsibility for their role in the relationship. I help couples connect on a deeper level by getting them to connect to and share their own internal experience.

I speak emotions AND logic (I'm married to an attorney), and I help couples learn to balance this and other personality differences.

But who are you as a person?

Great question! I am a social introvert and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I enjoy time in nature, coffee, being active, yoga and a good craft beer. My husband Daniel and I live in Raleigh with our dog Oliver, and enjoy traveling together.
