When working with me for couples therapy or premarital counseling you can expect that both you and your partner will be treated as equals.  I maintain a neutral non- judgmental stance that allows me to understand and empathize with both of your perspectives as well as remain objective and unbiased.

I use my empathic calming presence to create a space in which my couples feel comfortable expressing their honest feelings and needs. My couples have told me that I have a way of pulling things out of them they did not know how to put into words.

I challenge both partners to take responsibility for their role in the relationship. I help couples connect on a deeper level by getting them to connect to and share their own internal experience.

I speak emotions AND logic (I'm married to an attorney), and I help couples learn to balance this and other personality differences.

But who are you as a person?

Great question! I am a social introvert and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I enjoy time in nature, coffee, being active, yoga and a good craft beer. My husband Daniel and I live in Raleigh with our dog Oliver, and enjoy traveling together.
